Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ascendoacademy.com and the coaching services provided by Ascendo("we", "us"). By booking a call or enrolling, you agree to these terms. If you are booking on behalf of a student, you confirm you are their parent or guardian.

Our services

Ascendo provides personalized competitive programming coaching in small groups, delivered online. Sessions run twice per week. We do not guarantee any specific competition result, ranking, or academic outcome.

Bookings & sessions

• The intro call is free and carries no obligation to enroll.
• Ongoing coaching is $33 per session, covering two sessions per week, billed as a subscription in advance. The exact amount is shown to you before you pay and includes any sales tax or VAT due in your country.
• Coaching begins in the week after your first payment, at a time agreed with you.
• Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule a session so we can offer the slot to another student.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We are the seller of record: you are buying coaching from us, not from a reseller, so every question about an order, a refund, or a subscription comes to us.

Fees are charged monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. If a payment fails, we may pause sessions until it is resolved. You can cancel at any time from the Manage subscription link in any Stripe receipt, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future billing and your place is held until the end of the period you have paid for.

Recorded sessions

Sessions may be recorded so students can rewatch them and so we can review coaching quality. Recordings are shared only with the students in that group and their parents or guardians, and are never published or used in advertising. If you would prefer your student not be recorded, email us and we will accommodate it.

Recordings are stored with our video hosting provider and are reachable only from the student dashboard, behind that student’s own login. We also generate a written summary of each session automatically from the audio, which we review before it is published to the dashboard. By enrolling a student in a class you consent to this; that consent can be withdrawn at any time by emailing us, and we will delete the recordings held for that student.

Student conduct

We ask students to attend sessions ready to learn and to treat coaches and peers with respect. We may pause or end coaching for behavior that disrupts a group.

Intellectual property

Course materials, problem sets, and content we share are for your personal, non-commercial use. Please do not redistribute them without our permission.

Limitation of liability

Our services are provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, Ascendo is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the prior month.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
